Tom Curley’s panorama photographs are created with a medium format camera on photographic film. Each image is a single frame, not a series of digital images that are stitched together in a computer. The film images are scanned using high resolution commercial drum scanning to create a large file that can then be printed digitally in large sizes of 50 inches and wider.
All photographic prints are made on archival chromogenic color paper. This is a photographic process, not inkjet. Using premium printing material such as Fujicolor Crystal Archive color paper ensures that the archival stability will prevent fading over a long period of time.
Each limited edition print is created to the customer’s specification after consultation with the artist. The size and printing surface (glossy or luster finish) are determined, and framing options are discussed. Tom will work with each client via telephone or email.
