Thank you for visiting my website. My panoramic images are exposed on fine-grained transparency films, Fujichrome Professional Velvia and Provia. I use medium format 120 size film in the GX617 camera system, so the original image size of each image is 6 by 17 centimeters. That’s about 2-1/2 by 7 inches.
These are film images, not digital images, but once the images are scanned, they become digital files that are used for the small web images you see here, as well as practically any size photographic print. The scanning process creates a very large file size. I send the images to a professional scanning service that uses a drum scanner to make a file of exceptional quality and high resolution. Prints are made to order, depending on the size desired.

If you are considering an image to hang on a wall, it’s best to think about how wide or tall you want the print to be. Since the aspect ration of the panoramic format is nearly 3 to 1, then calculate accordingly. For example, if you want a 30 inch wide print, it’ll be 10 inches tall. If you want a print that is 15 inches wide, then the image is going to be only 5 inches tall.

Please contact me by email to inquire about any of these images.

Regards,

Tom
